How Our Import Service Works:
You contact us with your initial inquiry. You tell us the make and model or layout you have in mind. You tell us your time-scale. And you give us an idea of your budget.
We get back to you (usually within 24 hours) with details of vehicles we think will meet your requirements.
If the vehicle of your choice is second-hand we recommend we go to look at it. This involves an inspection trip to Europe which costs about £180 if we do it, subject to sharing the overall cost with other customers we are working for. If the vehicle is new it may not be necessary to inspect it. It should be as you see it in the manufacturer’s brochure.
If you decide to order a vehicle we’ve offered you, we fix the price, the specification – including any additional extras you might decide you want – and the delivery time in a proforma invoice and ask you to pay us a 25% deposit of the total price. Our price is ‘ex works’. UK delivery and DVLA registration expenses are charged separately, at cost, along with our fee. We ask you to pay the balance of the vehicle ‘cost’ price immediately before we go to Germany (or you do) to collect it.
When the van arrives in the UK we arrange garage preparation for UK compliancy (speedo, lights and rear fog light) and deal with the various applications to HMRC (Customs entry), VCA Bristol and DVLA. The process takes approximately 4 weeks (from arrival). The new V5C comes to you. You make up the number plates. We bill you for the expenses and our fee and arrange for you to collect your new van or for us to deliver it to you.
Import Service Key points:
Every new vehicle supplied comes with a full manufacturer’s warranty valid throughout Europe and the UK at any officially approved agent. In the case of secondhand vans, where the manufacturers’ warranties have expired, you can purchase a warranty from MB&G Auto Dealer Care if required.
We are happy to provide customer and bank references if requested.
We welcome part exchange, if you already have a van, car or caravan to trade in.
